12月7日 Septagon Studios Reveals New WebsitePress Release  Toronto, December 2007 ¬ The redesigned website of Septagon Studios Inc. went live today at: www.septagonstudios.com a remastered site offering several new features including detailed submission guidelines, links and resources to Septagon’s distribution partners and retailers and creators, discussion boards, and updated release schedules. “The next phase of Septagon Studios begins with this site,” said Nick Defina, president of the company. The newly-designed site allows fans and visitors to be more interactive and to better stay updated with company news and updates. For new fans and readers, the website is a great starting point to see what Septagon Studios and its titles are all about. “The new site will better provide for future expansion; we are always looking for cool new innovative ideas and concepts to share with our fans. It’s going to be an exciting venture; we have many contests, special promotions, and special exclusive previews lined up as well as a newsletter allowing fans to be up to date with the happenings at Septagon,” said Defina. TORONTO, ONTARIO (April 30, 2007) -- Septagon Studios, Inc. announces the June 2007 Paradise Comicon “SHOW YOUR STUFF” Contest, offering creators a chance to have their artwork displayed and viewed by comic book fans and professionals at the best comic show in Toronto. Septagon Studios is anxiously awaiting your best cover illustrations or sequential. We want to bring artwork of various styles to the largest celebration of comics in Toronto: the Paradise Comicon on June 8-10 at Exhibition Place. We will be selecting four cover illustrations and four sequential images to be displayed in our portfolio as upcoming talent from within the comic book industry. To enter the contest, simply register at http://forums.septagonstudios.com and post your artwork in the specific threads and forums. “Septagon Studios wants to be a vehicle for artists and creators to get their work exposed,” said Nick Defina, president and C.E.O. of Septagon Studios, Inc. “We understand how competitive the industry has become; we are here to share that same spotlight as those many artists, and creators who have a passion for art and comic books. One of my all-time favorite filmmakers, Kevin Smith, decided to grab a copy of Scorn at Wizard World Chicago. He was also kind enough to pose with the book. Because his autograph sessions that weekend excluded staff and vendors (show policy, not his), he was nice enough to stay late on the last day to take pictures and sign autographs for the folks who missed out. *Note This version of Scorn was released in 2004 in its orginal B/W edition. Scorn Written by:Kevin Moyers Artwork by: Philipp Neundorf On a quiet July night in Chicago, 19-year-old Michael Riggs witnesses the murder of his best friend at the hand of the notorious gang leader Robert Torres. In dealing with this horrific slaying and his own dark past, Michael has become obsessed, and will stop at nothing to avenge his friend's death. Scorn is a dark tale of revenge that uses real Windy City locations as its backdrop. The writer also uses actual events to set the story in motion. The gritty and unique artwork from Philipp Neundorf brings this emotional tale to life. This has become a unique relationship over the past 8 months. I first came across Philipp Neundorf on various message boards and online galleries where his art was displayed. Through him I received the initial contact for Kevin Moyers and Scorn. I’ve heard about Scorn’s success at various conventions throughout the United States. I visited the site and happened to notice that the first issue was out. Upon reading, I simply fell in love with the book. At the time, Scorn was a true independent book, waiting to be picked up. So I emailed Kevin placing an offer on the table. Shortly thereafter he replied back stating his interest. Kevin Moyers had much to say about his book and his desire in writing it. “It has truly been a labor of love for me, and I would love to share it with comic book fans everywhere.” “I can think of two words to describe why Scorn deserves to be seen. Philipp Neundorf. Not only is Philipp an amazing artist, he’s a loyal guy, and that’s hard to find. I went through several artists who gave up on the book before Philipp came along and tore right though it. Every time I look around, I find another project with his name on it. I have no doubt that Philipp will be a star in the comic world. His style is unique, and his dark, rough tones fit Scorn perfectly.” The first issue will be the re-launch of the original convention product in color as apposed to the traditional black and white. “Scorn” is a modern narrative of pure retribution and enthusiasm that truly comes from the heart. The re-launched ‘Scorn’ will fall into a new 4 issue miniseries titled “Obsessed” The project is scheduled for publication by Septagon Studios.
